Be assured, an evil person will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered.
Behold, how could a man repent except he should sin? How could he sin if there was no law? How could there be a law save there was punishment? Now, there was punishment affixed, and a just law given, which brings remorse of conscience unto man.
Now, if there was no law given, if a man murdered, he should die; would he be afraid he would die if he should murder? And also, if there was no law given against sin, man would not be afraid of sin.
And if there was no law given, if men sinned, what could justice do, or mercy either, for they would have no claim upon humans?
But there is a law given, the ten commandments given by Moses, and the ones I gave in my first coming, which the greatest are: Love your God with all your heart, spirit and strength, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Since there is a law given, and punishment affixed, and repentance granted, which repentance mercy claimed, otherwise, justice claimed the man, and executed the law, and the law inflicted punishment, if not so, the works of justice will be destroyed, and God will cease to be God.
Therefore, wonder this, the more and more you push God away in these latter days, the less fear of the Lord God there is and man becomes corrupt, violent and savages against each other. This cannot go on forever and the cup of my indignation and wrath is overflowing.
